Organizational Sections
Center on Law, Ethics and Judicial Affairs:
To address the legal, ethical, judicial and cross-disciplinary professional
challenges of convergent technologies.
International Law & Foreign Policy Center
To foster a global economic dialogue to explore current and potentially
new protocols and treaties of international competitiveness and cooperativeness
regarding the research and development, safety, security, health,
and legislation of converging technologies, while addressing the
cross-jurisdictional and international economic policies.
Education Center:
To provide interdisciplinary educational outreach programs on a
pro-bono basis to consumer groups, public and private educational
institutions.
Communication Center:
To create a common interdisciplinary lexicon between and among scientists,
engineers and the legal community by developing a multidisciplinary
communication systems, or trading zones database with cross references.
Action Nerve Center:
To develop scenarios, structured forecasting, trends analysis, and
implementation tools necessary for the incorporation of anticipatory
and pre-emptive measures addressing the broad legal and societal
implications of converging technologies.
Divisions
Institute of Legal Convergence:
To establish a duly licensed and accredited educational institute
to train and develop certified legal experts in the interdisciplinary
areas of NBIC.
New Renaissance Legal Laboratory:
To establish entrepreneur networks, assist small and minority-owned
emerging and converging technologies businesses by enabling innovation
of new discoveries and inventions from lab to market through low-cost
legal services, and empowering mid-sized and large corporations with
technology transfer and commercialization of new products and lines,
while training scientists and engineers on business law and skills,
encouraging activities that cross traditional boundaries and borders,
and promoting new multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary initiatives
and markets.
